Capricorn Begins Charity Partnership with RSBC

The partnership, which begins in February 2019, has been officially launched at an event at Capricorn’s showroom in Solihull in the West Midlands.

RSBC is a national charity focused on delivering support to blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families. Capricorn, a leading supplier in the window blinds sector, see the new partnership as a unique opportunity to support a strong cause, primarily through sales of its product, but also by meaningfully engaging its staff in fundraising challenges and raising awareness among its nationwide client base.

Tom O’Loughlin, Chief Executive at Capricorn Shading Group, explains what first inspired the approach to RSBC, “For some time there has been a strong appetite within the business to team up with a charity and be a force for good above and beyond our everyday mission to sell our products. The idea came to me as I’d been called the “blind man” on so many occasions. I thought how great it would be if my reply to this poor joke could be that, in all seriousness, “every sale we make benefits blind children.”

“After hearing about some of the ways RSBC have helped blind and partially sighted children in the West Midlands and beyond, we were convinced immediately that they were the right partner for us.”
